"My photographic pieces centre on the rural English countryside and its contrasting nature through the seasons. In my work, I make use of changing light to evoke disparate feelings of warm nostalgia and cold emptiness. There are often hints of human presence, such as a subtle contrail in the sky, or deep shadows cast by the sun that provide a strong sense of depth and space. Digitally printing the works on matte paper (as opposed to gloss) lends a gentle feel to my pieces. This is an exploration of duality all in itself, the harsh digital meeting the subtle nuances of the organic. "
